This is still the Easter Season!

Acts 9:1-20.  Jesus confronts Saul to force him to recognize his self-inflicted spiritual blindness and opens a path for him to experience healing.

Psalm response: Psalm 30.  A psalm of sufferers seeking healing, responding both to the suffering Saul had caused and was now experiencing.

Revelation 5:11-14In praise and worship, we join our voices with the heavenly throng to bless God with all we have and are.

John 21:1-22.   Jesus challenges disciples to cast their nets on the “wrong” side of the boat, then challenges Peter’s love for him and calls him to “feed my sheep.”

Monday:

Adoration Focus: Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. (Psalm 105:3)

Confession: This week we focus on the words that we speak.  Our pray is that our words may express the love and care that God has for this world.  Today: Lord forgive us when we are reluctant to say, “Sorry.”   Help us to say “Sorry” where our words have build up walls that isolate.

Seeking the Kingdom:

Shared Focus: Pray for the gift of God’s guidance for someone who is loosing his or her way.

 Tuesday:

Adoration Focus: How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. (Psalm 104:24)

Confession: See Monday’s confession. Today: Lord forgive us when we are reluctant to express gratitude.  Lord lift up a situation in our lives where we need to express our thanks.

Shared Focus: Pray for the gift of God’s peace for someone who is troubled.

Wednesday:

Adoration Focus: Praise the Lord… who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed life the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:5)

Confession: See Monday’s confession. Today: Lord, forgive us when we are slow to speak words of encouragement. Pray that God would guide you in encouraging someone who you will encounter today.

The Word:

Seeking the Kingdom:

Shared Focus: Pray for the area where you live, that God’s life and love may continue to bring the gift of transformation to all its peoples.

Thursday:

Adoration Focus: But you, O Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generation. (Psalm 102:12)

Confession: See Monday’s confession. Today: Lord forgive us when we have spoken words that hurt.  Pray that today your words may bring healing and wholeness.

The Word:

Shared Focus: Pray for someone you know who is suffering, emotionally or physically.

Friday:

Adoration Focus: I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will sing praise. (Psalm 101:1)

Confession: See Monday’s confession. Today:  Lord, forgive us when our words have encouraged prejudice.  Lord, help us to speak words that enable others to see the best in their fellow human beings.

Shared Focus: Pray for someone you know who needs God’s reassurance.

Saturday:

Adoration Focus: Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. (Psalm 100:3)

Confession: See Monday’s confession. Today:  Lord forgive us when our words have been too many and we have not listened to the words of others.  Pray that today God may enable you to listen carefully to what others are saying.

The Word:

Seeking the Kingdom:

Shared Focus: Pray that God may prepare all his people to be particularly receptive to the Word as it is preached tomorrow.  Pray that that Word may bring them the gift of God’s life and love.

Sunday:

Adoration Focus: The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. (Psalm 99:1)

Confession: See Monday’s confession. Today: Lord forgive us when we are slow to praise your holy name.  Today, Lord, give us a vision of your glory and enable us to open our mouths and hearts in praise.
